Unusual Machines receives $16.9M Powerus order for US-made drone components

Unusual Machines has received a $16.9 million purchase order from Powerus for American-made drone components. The order covers motors, batteries, cameras and video transmitters for Powerus’s autonomous aircraft and counter-drone systems.

The procurement expands a relationship that already combines component supply with an equity investment. Powerus placed an order exceeding $5 million in April 2026, and Unusual Machines disclosed a $30 million strategic investment in Powerus in June. The new purchase order increases the hardware commitment as Powerus scales production across its unmanned-systems portfolio.

The component categories span propulsion, electrical power and onboard video. Unusual Machines manufactures flight controllers, electronic speed controllers, cameras, motors and video systems, and its acquisition of Upgrade Energy adds batteries and power systems to that offering. The supplier is expanding US manufacturing for defence, enterprise and commercial customers.

Powerus builds autonomous air and maritime systems alongside heavy-lift platforms and mission systems. It completed its merger with Aureus Greenway Holdings on 1 October and trades on Nasdaq under PUSA. For this order, the companies are linking Powerus’s system production with Unusual Machines’ domestic component supply.
