X Square Robot Introduces TwinDEX for Robot-Free Dexterous Data Collection
The matched wearable-and-robot hand reports 5.3× the throughput of on-robot teleoperation and trained a policy for a 24-step chemistry experiment.

X Square Robot has introduced TwinDEX, a paired wearable and robotic dexterous-manipulation system designed to collect training data without occupying the target robot.
The system uses a wearable three-finger, nine-degree-of-freedom collector closely matched to the deployment hand across kinematics, contact geometry, sensing and timing. It synchronizes multiview RGB, six-degree-of-freedom wrist pose, finger states and fingertip tactile data, reducing the retargeting gap between human demonstrations and robot execution.
X Square reports up to 5.3 times the effective throughput of on-robot teleoperation. A policy trained on only a few hundred robot-free episodes then autonomously completed a 24-step chemistry experiment in one uncut run, including tool changes, pipetting, liquid and solid transfer and bimanual manipulation.
TwinDEX extends X Square Robot's broader embodied-AI stack, which spans robot hardware, foundation models, world models and real-world deployment.
