BionicM receives 2026 Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award
BionicM received Japan’s 2026 Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award at the University Venture Awards for commercialising powered prosthetic technology.

Company overview
BionicM develops Bio Leg, a powered microprocessor knee for transfemoral amputees. The University of Tokyo spin-out combines motorized assistance, onboard sensing and movement control to support standing, walking and stair use. U.S. sales began in 2024, and the company completed its first customer deliveries that August.
