Clone has demonstrated teleoperation of the hand used on its Torso 3 musculoskeletal robot, while announcing that a redesigned Torso 4 platform is planned to launch in November.

The Torso 3 hand shown in the demonstration was built in April 2026 and represents the final generation of Clone’s legacy hand architecture. Clone says it has spent the past six months redesigning the system from the ground up to improve simulation fidelity and controllability while retaining what it describes as human-level manipulation capabilities.

That work will culminate in Torso 4, which Clone describes as a human-level torso designed to automate stationary bimanual tasks for enterprise customers. The planned November launch will introduce the redesigned torso and manipulation system; the latest demonstration shows the earlier Torso 3 hand.

Clone develops biomimetic robotic hands around its proprietary Myofiber artificial-muscle technology, using muscle and tendon arrangements intended to reproduce the strength, range of motion and compliant behaviour of human hands. Its hand architecture includes an articulated opposable thumb and is designed around manipulation of tools and objects made for human use.

The company’s commercial material also includes its Telekinesis training platform for teaching robots new skills. The Torso 4 redesign places greater emphasis on hardware that can be represented accurately in simulation and controlled for enterprise manipulation tasks.
