FarmWise is building Vulcan into precision vegetable weeding
FarmWise launched Vulcan in February 2023 with sub-inch mechanical weed removal and live teleoperations support.
FarmWise launched Vulcan at World Ag Expo in Tulare, California on February 14, 2023. The implement was available for pre-order and named to the World Ag Expo 2023 Top-10 New Products list.
Vulcan is built for vegetable weeding, where the machine has to remove weeds between rows and within rows without damaging crop plants. FarmWise describes sub-inch precision, a lightweight open cultivator frame, and field visibility for growers who need to trust the tool in high-value crops.
FarmWise says Vulcan includes a teleoperations program for live performance monitoring and support. That support layer connects field runs to FarmWise technicians and fabricators.
FarmWise was founded by Sebastien Boyer and Thomas Palomares, and the company’s earlier service model gave it field experience before Vulcan shifted toward grower-owned equipment.
