About FarmWise
FarmWise’s Vulcan is a tractor-pulled cultivator that removes weeds mechanically from commercial vegetable rows. Cameras beneath the implement image each plant, while machine-learning software distinguishes crop from weed and controls individual blades around the crop stem. The operator can tune the cultivation aggressiveness from the cab as crop size, soil and weed pressure change.
The implement self-calibrates in the field and receives software updates as FarmWise expands the crops and conditions supported by its models. Modular row units allow growers to configure working width around their beds, with stated productivity reaching roughly three acres per hour in suitable conditions. Vulcan fits into the existing tractor workflow and replaces broadcast herbicide or hand-weeding passes without requiring an autonomous vehicle of its own.
