MightyFly signs US$50M healthcare cargo-flight agreement
The five-year diagnostics-logistics contract follows an Air Force demonstration of autonomous flight, package loading and onboard cargo handling.

MightyFly announced a US$50 million, five-year contract on 18 September 2025 with an unnamed California healthcare diagnostics provider for same-day transport of test kits. The planned service begins in California before expansion to Nevada and other US markets, using the company’s autonomous hybrid-electric cargo aircraft.
The proposed routes connect pharmacies, clinics and retail locations with the provider’s laboratories, with optional in-transit cold storage. MightyFly’s Cento aircraft supports multiple delivery points and onboard package handling.
An earlier Air Force demonstration, announced in June 2025, tested the aircraft and its Autonomous Load Mastering System under an AFWERX SBIR Phase II contract. During the May flight at New Jerusalem Airport, the aircraft positioned and secured two boxes, closed its nose, took off, landed at a destination and ejected the cargo without human intervention, then continued to a third location. The system also demonstrated package handling and load-balance management.
By the September contract announcement, MightyFly reported more than 400 flights and authorisation to test in five California airspaces, including seven airports and multiple corridors up to 5,000 feet. It also reported over US$210 million in signed letters of intent, separate from the five-year healthcare contract.
