RealSense completes Intel spinout and raises $50M for robot perception
An independent RealSense will expand production and commercial reach for depth cameras and robotic perception.

RealSense completed its spinout from Intel and closed a $50 million Series A on 11 July 2025. The company identified its lead investor as a semiconductor private-equity firm without naming it, with Intel Capital and MediaTek Innovation Fund among the strategic participants. The financing supports the independent company’s manufacturing, sales and international expansion.
Led by CEO Nadav Orbach, RealSense supplies depth cameras and vision technology used in autonomous mobile robots, humanoids, industrial automation, healthcare and access control. It cited relationships with ANYbotics, Unitree Robotics, Eyesynth and Fit:Match, and reported more than 3,000 customers and over 80 patents worldwide.
The recently launched D555 camera combined the RealSense Vision SoC V5 with Power over Ethernet. The company said it would maintain support for existing customers and its product roadmap while hiring additional AI, software and robotics engineers. Its global manufacturing and distributor network supplies perception hardware that robot developers can integrate into navigation and manipulation systems.
