RoboSense produces millionth LiDAR unit and supplies humanoid developer
RoboSense reported production of its one-millionth high-beam LiDAR sensor on 21 February 2025, followed by delivery of the milestone unit to Humanoid Robot (Shanghai) on 24 February.

RoboSense reported production of its one-millionth high-beam LiDAR sensor on 21 February 2025, followed by delivery of the milestone unit to Humanoid Robot (Shanghai) on 24 February. The E1R sensor was supplied for integration into the developer’s Qinglong humanoid. Announced on 25 February, the milestone represents cumulative manufacturing across RoboSense’s markets, rather than a million sensors delivered to robots or an annual production rate.
The fully solid-state digital E1R came off the line at RoboSense’s Beta manufacturing base in Shenzhen before being sent to Pudong, Shanghai. Humanoid Robot (Shanghai) said its public-version Qinglong platform already used the E1R in collaborative product development. The delivery connects RoboSense’s established LiDAR manufacturing operations with a specific humanoid perception programme.
RoboSense introduced its robotics platform strategy earlier in 2025, drawing on sensor hardware and algorithms developed for automotive applications. Its initial robotics portfolio included the E1R and Airy LiDAR sensors, an Active Camera vision product and the Papert 2.0 dexterous hand. The company said it would support Qinglong’s development through the E1R and associated technical assistance.
