Unitree launches compact G1 humanoid from RMB99,000

Unitree has launched G1, a compact humanoid offered in China from RMB99,000 (approximately US$13,900 at the May 2024 exchange rate), expanding its range beyond the larger H1. Introduced on 13 May, the approximately 35 kg platform combines a broad joint range with locomotion developed through reinforcement learning and simulation.

G1 supports between 23 and 43 actuated joints depending on configuration. Its structure can fold into a compact position, while large joint rotations support dynamic movements and recovery from different postures.

Optional force-controlled dexterous hands combine position and force control for object handling. Depth sensing and 3D LiDAR provide environmental information, with the robot positioned as hardware for developing embodied intelligence and manipulation skills.

The launch price applies to the entry configuration in China. Developer versions and optional hands change the hardware package, so the starting figure does not describe every G1 system or its delivered international cost.
