About
About Unitree
Unitree develops legged robots and robotics hardware for consumer, education, research and industrial use. Its catalogue includes Go and B-series quadrupeds, H1 and G1 humanoids, the compact R1 humanoid, robotic arms, dexterous hands, lidar and joint components. The products range from lower-cost developer platforms to industrial configurations for inspection, patrol and field mobility.
Humanoids became a central commercial line during 2025. Unitree reported more than 5,500 humanoid robots sold and delivered that year, while its Shanghai Stock Exchange prospectus recorded humanoid products at 51.53% of revenue in the first nine months of 2025. The same filing shows that research and education remained the largest use category for those humanoid sales. Unitree also publishes full-body teleoperation datasets and model work for humanoid development, extending its offering beyond the robot hardware.

The regional channel milestone follows Unitree’s September global G1+ announcement. GMO AIR’s existing Japanese authorized-distributor agreement with Unitree was signed on June 19, 2026. G1+ adds two neck degrees of freedom and combines binocular cameras, a chest camera, 3D LiDAR and voice interaction.
Source - 2026-10-06 - Demonstration - Akari and Oriental Shiraishi validate autonomous quadruped walking on suspended scaffolding
LiDAR detected hanging chains and site equipment for obstacle avoidance and route planning. The controller used body tilt and ground-reaction information to maintain posture across uneven surfaces. The robot detected sheets or cables snagging its legs and autonomously moved to free them; routine site patrol remains in development.
Source - 2026-09-29 - Demonstration - Unitree G1 tested by Orboh for outdoor okra manipulation
The June-to-September project was conducted in Kagoshima under wind, changing sunlight and foliage occlusion, with 70 days of system development. The stack used YOLO detection, ZED-M stereo point clouds, inverse kinematics and Diffusion Policy only for final alignment; indoor simulated-field grasp success was 16 of 20 attempts. The trial achieved detection and grasping, while cutting remained unfinished and force-control improvements were still needed.

Notes
Profile notes
- Unitree's strength is disclosed volume, not factory deployment
reviewed 2026-10-12 - Unitree has made humanoids easier to buy than almost anyone else, with public pricing, a broad model range and comparatively strong shipment disclosures. That gives it a real advantage in reach, developer adoption and units in circulation. The evidence is thinner inside sustained customer production workflows. Unitree's current lead is availability and disclosed volume.
