Wandelbots is building NOVA into robot-agnostic factory programming
A June 11, 2025 Schaeffler and NVIDIA collaboration puts Wandelbots NOVA between simulation and shopfloor robot execution.

Wandelbots announced on June 11, 2025 that it was working with Schaeffler and NVIDIA around NOVA and NVIDIA Omniverse. The demonstration was presented at NVIDIA GTC Europe in Paris.
The use case connects virtual workflow simulation to physical robot execution for a soft-material automation process. That is the right proof surface for NOVA: not a new arm, but a programming and transfer layer across robot brands and factory cells.
Wandelbots describes NOVA as a robot-agnostic operating system for industrial automation. The system is meant to let developers simulate robot behavior in virtual cells and transfer validated workflows to physical robot execution, reducing the programming burden for factories that use multiple robot brands.
The Dresden company was founded around the idea that robot programming should be more accessible to non-specialists. NOVA is a later software-platform version of that same thesis, moving from intuitive teaching toward developer-facing tools and simulation-linked deployment.
The competitive field includes Intrinsic Flowstate, NVIDIA Isaac, RoboDK, Jacobi Robotics, Siemens and Rockwell automation software, ABB RobotStudio, and OEM-specific programming environments. Wandelbots? distinction is robot-agnostic programming aimed at industrial users who do not want every robot brand to require its own workflow.
Public material does not show customer-verified engineering-hour reduction, cycle-time reduction, first-time-right rate, production uptime, deployment count by factory, pricing, customer retention, repeat deployment rate, or renewal terms. The Schaeffler/NVIDIA demonstration is a strategic signal, not production-scale proof.
NOVA tests whether robot programming can become portable across factories and robot brands. If Wandelbots turns simulation-to-execution into repeatable deployment savings, it can position NOVA as a factory software layer rather than a teaching tool for isolated robot cells.
