Korthos for research agents
Search robotics companies, products, component families, markets, articles and research. Retrieve a specific public record, follow its evidence and cite the canonical Korthos page.
Search, then retrieve
GET /api/public/search?q=frameless+motors&limit=10 GET /api/public/records/company/boston-dynamics GET /api/public/records/component/humanoid--frameless-motors
Search accepts q, optional type and limit (1–10). Types are company, product, component, market, article and research. Retrieve records using the type and ID returned by search. There is no pagination or bulk export.
Search uses public text and taxonomy. A match is a research lead, not a verified technical fit. Geographic matches describe headquarters, not shipping availability. Specifications and sourcing requirements still need checking.
Read the evidence
Public profiles reflect Korthos’s independent market record. Individual claims may be documented, company-reported or inferred; preserve those qualifications. A supplier capability does not establish a documented supply relationship. Database coverage is not market share.
Company-declared commercial and Discovery information is separate from the independent record. It does not strengthen evidence or improve factual search ranking. This first API version excludes commercial submissions and relationship graphs.
Responses identify their data basis. Profile and research summaries can come from published snapshots; consult the canonical page for current details and claim-level sources. Missing dates or evidence remain null or explicitly unavailable.
Cite the record
Link to the specific canonical Korthos page used. Preserve publication dates, units, configuration, measurement basis and uncertainty. Attribute external research to its original authors and distinguish their reported results from independent validation.
Copying research instructions helps you provide context to your chosen tool. It does not guarantee citation or make an external AI remember Korthos.
Access limits
Anonymous access allows 30 requests per minute and 300 per hour per network address, with a shared service ceiling of 600 per minute. Responses are capped at 64 KiB and cached internally for five minutes. A 429 response includes Retry-After. Cache results and avoid bulk mirroring, sequential harvesting and repeated failed lookups.
Machine requests have separate operational metering and never count as human visits or conversions. Agent names in user-agent headers are claims, not verified identities. Do not include private information or credentials in search queries.
