About Rye Robotics
Rye focuses on the maintenance cycle of large golf courses, where fairways must be cut frequently and equipment normally operates within staffing windows. Its approach is to extend the mowing window through unattended, scheduled operation: the robot leaves its charger, travels between course areas, performs the assigned cut and returns without an operator driving it. The company pairs this with fleet scheduling and exception monitoring for grounds teams.
The company began with fairways because they represent a large, recurring work area, then set out to develop separate machines for greens and rough terrain, which impose different cutting and mobility requirements. It is building overseas sales and service capacity alongside product development; the published sales footprint is in China, South Korea and Japan, while broader European and North American channel work remains in progress.
