About Avikus
Avikus separates bridge assistance into perception, vessel control and fleet oversight. HiNAS Navigation combines camera information with radar and AIS in an augmented-reality view, while HiNAS Control adjusts heading and engine speed for route following and collision avoidance. HiNAS Cloud adds remote monitoring and incident playback, and Surround View Monitoring gives a bird's-eye view around the hull for berthing.
HiNAS operates with a navigational watch maintained by a qualified officer, and the captain retains authority to take manual control. Navigation and Control can be retrofitted to existing ships. The surround-view system requires cameras around the hull, so its installation is tied to new construction or scheduled dry-docking. These installation and supervision requirements shape how shipowners introduce the systems into their fleets.
