About Daedong
Daedong is a South Korean agricultural-machinery company founded in 1947. Its equipment portfolio includes tractors, combines, rice-transplanting machinery and engines, with a growing focus on connected machinery, precision agriculture and autonomous field operations. The company develops AI tractor technology together with software-update and machine-learning infrastructure for farm-operation data.
Its electric-autonomous tractor programme combines navigation and implement control with an electric drivetrain. The K-GX development project targets a 55kW multipurpose tractor for tasks such as tillage and spraying, with field validation and manufacturing infrastructure preceding commercialization planned for 2030. The production plan includes transport robots, robotic work processes and AI vision inspection. Daedong’s existing tractor business and the future development programme represent different commercial stages.
