About Oxford Metrics
Vicon combines optical measurement hardware with software for capturing human and machine movement. This supplies both human-motion training data and precise reference measurements for evaluating robots. Oxford Metrics is extending that platform through markerless and hybrid capture, allowing users to combine camera-based movement reconstruction with marker-based systems.
The group has secured market-exclusive rights to a third-party human-movement dataset and is directing additional investment toward robotics and recurring software. Move AI's technology, patents, team and customer relationships transfer to Vicon through an asset purchase. Separately, the IVMS division builds machine-vision inspection and metrology systems for medical devices, pharmaceuticals, aerospace and precision manufacturing. Oxford Metrics has traded on London's AIM market since 2001.
