Inverted roller screws

Inverted roller screws are LTK's custom transmission components for compact linear actuators and robotic joints. A rotating nut drives linear movement of the spindle, allowing bearings, a drive system and an encoder to be integrated around the screw. The threaded rollers provide multiple contact points for transmitting load.

LTK designs, tests and manufactures these assemblies to customer requirements. Dedicated in-house machinery and thread grinding support prototype development and production, while application-specific dimensions and mechanical interfaces allow integration into humanoid limb actuators and other constrained mechanisms.
