Formic
About
About Formic
Formic starts a deployment by scoping the production task, including throughput, product variations and the working environment, then engineers and commissions the automation cell. It integrates equipment from several robot manufacturers under a common operating and support system, so the installed solution includes tooling, controls and service as well as the robot arm.
Its Core controls run equipment at the cell level, while Cortex connects fleet monitoring, diagnostics and operating data. Remote monitoring tracks measures such as cycle time and throughput, helping the service team identify faults and coordinate support. Formic combines that remote work with maintenance, replacement parts and on-site intervention, with the commercial arrangement and service commitments set for each application.

Notes
Profile notes
- Formic owns and operates automation while customers pay for productive output
reviewed 2026-07-18 - Formic designs, installs, monitors and maintains robotic workcells under a service model with no customer capital purchase. Contracts can include performance commitments, and customers pay a recurring charge tied to access or productive operation rather than buying an unsupported robot cell.
