About Waabi
Waabi builds its driving system around an interactive simulation environment called Waabi World. The simulator creates digital representations of roads and traffic from data, generates camera and lidar observations, and feeds them to the Waabi Driver. Other simulated road users then react to the vehicle's chosen movements, producing a continuing feedback loop.
That environment lets engineers vary traffic behaviour and road situations, test difficult scenarios and identify weaknesses in the driving model. Waabi also compares simulated behaviour with real-world driving to assess how closely the tests reflect physical operation. The simulation and vehicle software therefore develop together, supporting the company's work to integrate its driving technology into commercial vehicle platforms.
