About DroneDeploy

DroneDeploy turns repeated site capture into a shared visual record that teams can measure, compare and use for operational decisions. Scheduled missions send docked drones and ground robots to collect imagery, then upload and process the results. The platform accepts aerial images, thermal data and indoor 360-degree views, linking different perspectives on the same asset or worksite.

Its analysis tools address earthworks measurement, construction progress, asset defects and safety observations. Industrial teams can compare inspections over time, while construction teams use the records to coordinate work and check installed conditions. DroneDeploy supplies the software and capture-management layer around connected hardware, with a services network for customers that need data collection as well as processing.

Notes

Profile notes

  • DroneDeploy stopped being a drone maker and became a hardware-independent reality-capture platform

reviewed 2026-07-20 - DroneDeploy began with its own drone ambitions but moved to software that works with third-party aircraft, ground cameras and robots. Its later acquisitions expanded the business into site documentation and autonomous data capture without reviving a DroneDeploy-branded aircraft line. The company’s robotics exposure now lies in orchestrating and processing data from other manufacturers’ hardware.
