KION Group covers the material flow from individual trucks to complete automated distribution centres. Linde Material Handling and STILL supply forklifts, warehouse trucks, autonomous mobile robots and automated guided vehicles, while Baoli addresses simpler material-handling needs. Dematic integrates conveyors, sorters, shuttles, storage and retrieval machines, robotic picking and software for receiving, storage, fulfilment, packing and dispatch.
The brands combine when a site needs both mobile and fixed automation: automated Linde or STILL vehicles can exchange pallets with Dematic conveyors and high-bay systems, while warehouse software schedules inventory and equipment. The portfolio supports manual, dual-use and lights-out operations, including scalable AMR fleets and dense tote or pallet storage. Lifecycle services cover financing, fleet management, maintenance, modernisation and software monitoring, giving factories and warehouses one group for vehicles, automation controls and long-term system operation.

H1 segment revenue rose 17.6% to €1,629.2 million. Adjusted EBIT increased 35.3% to €106.0 million, lifting the adjusted EBIT margin to 6.5%. Project-business growth benefited from improved orders on hand, while service revenue fell from the prior-year level.

Colruyt Group retains a 30% minority interest in Smart Innovation NV. The technology combines Colruyt-developed software intelligence with STILL vehicle integration. Autonomous STILL pallet trucks based on the programme have operated in two Colruyt distribution centres for two years.

KION Group began working with Accenture to optimize supply chains using NVIDIA AI and simulation technologies. The collaboration uses digital twins to test warehouse layouts, robot fleets, workers and intelligent vehicles. The agreed purchase price was about $2.1 billion. Dematic added warehouse automation and supply-chain optimization systems to KION's industrial-truck and services business. KION completed the takeover on 1 November 2016 and acquired 100 percent of Dematic's shares.
