About Smith & Nephew

Smith+Nephew combines implants, instruments and digital applications with handheld robotic assistance for joint reconstruction. The established CORI system uses image-agnostic mapping, real-time planning, gap assessment and surgeon-controlled milling for supported knee procedures, with software navigation available for hip workflows. Its portable camera, console and handpiece are designed for hospitals and ambulatory surgery centres.

The company reported more than 1,100 CORI installations by the end of 2025 and launched shoulder applications on the next-generation CORI XT platform during 2026. First clinical CORI XT cases covered knee and shoulder arthroplasty, while CORIOGRAPH services expanded preoperative modelling. Those additions belong to the newer platform and named software packages; the existing CORI product record keeps its own authorised configuration and indications.
