About X-Up
X-Up develops outdoor ground robots and control software for golf-course and sports-field maintenance. Its CHE:UM robot uses RTK positioning and AI vision to locate fairway divots and dispense repair sand. The system combines a four-wheel-drive vehicle with navigation, task equipment and a return-to-charge workflow.
A separate SE:UM programme targets ball-mark repair on greens using a lighter platform and a detachable repair module; its next version remains under development. X-Up also offers a configurable mobility platform for customer-specific equipment. AutoX provides the common control layer, combining positioning and other sensor data with obstacle detection and route replanning. The company’s approach separates the driving platform from the maintenance tool so different field tasks can use related navigation and control technology.

Events
- 2026-09-15 - Partnership - X-Up signs golf-course validation MOU for autonomous divot-repair robot
The robot is intended to navigate a golf course, identify damaged turf and perform divot-repair work without manual driving. HL D&I Halla contributes drone survey mapping and data analysis, while X-Up supplies the robot and Jack Nicklaus Golf Club provides the test environment and evaluation. The partners plan a live industry demonstration in October 2026 after the field-validation phase.
Source - 2026-07-13 - Partnership - X-Up and Meissa partner on aerial-to-ground field-management automation
Meissa will use aerial spatial data to diagnose wide-area conditions, while X-Up robots will travel to identified points for precision inspection, work execution and result capture. The first programme is a golf-course-management PoC and integrated course-management package linking aerial diagnosis with ground-level action and verification. The companies identify agriculture, sports fields, public infrastructure and industrial sites as subsequent application areas.
