Rerun
About
About Rerun
Rerun develops an open-source SDK and data layer for multi-rate, multimodal robotics data. The toolchain can log, store, convert, query, transform and visualise data, with C++, Python and Rust interfaces and column-chunk storage in RRD files. Teams can extend the viewer with their own views, tools and annotations.
The software sits across the physical-AI data loop: engineers inspect recordings, debug detail-level issues, query datasets with dataframe or SQL operations, and prepare transformed data for training. Rerun Hub is presented as production infrastructure around that data layer. It is software for building and understanding robot systems, not the autonomy or sensing hardware itself.

Timeline
Events
- 2026-05-13 - Capability - Rerun 0.32 adds robot-learning data layer and Rerun Hub private preview
Rerun SDK 0.32 added lower-level read, write and chunk-processing APIs for robotics datasets. The release added MCAP and ROS 2 support, an open-source catalog server and PyTorch dataloader integration. Rerun Hub entered private preview for teams managing object-storage-backed datasets for robot learning and Physical AI.
Source - 2025-03-19 - Funding - Rerun raises $17M seed round for Physical AI data infrastructure
The $17 million seed round was led by Point Nine, with Costanoa, Sunflower Capital, Seedcamp and angel investors participating. The company cited use by teams and projects including Meta, Google, Hugging Face LeRobot and Unitree as adoption context.
Source - 2023-02-15 - Product Launch - Rerun releases open-source OSS beta for robotics data visualization
The beta made Rerun public as an open-source project with install paths for Python and Rust developers. The SDK targeted images, tensors, point clouds and other robotics or computer-vision data streams for interactive debugging. The release established Rerun as developer infrastructure for teams working with embodied perception and sensor data.
