About
About Intelligent Robotics
Intelligent Robotics combines application engineering with its own industrial automation products. Alongside beef scribing, its IR-CONVEY and IR-SORT systems use magnetic planar motors to move products without mechanical contact. Stainless-steel construction supports washdown, and weighing during movement can remove a separate weighing step from the process.
The company takes projects from mechanical and electrical design through sensing, robot integration, deployment and ongoing monitoring. Its mining development work targets automated maintenance, including inspection, wear-part replacement and module handling using vehicles, robotic cranes and task-specific robots. Those maintenance systems are under development as part of a broader aim to reduce personnel entry into mining operations.

Timeline
Events
- 2026-02-09 - Deployment - IR-SCRIBE trials expand to Cootamundra
The Cootamundra system had operated under commercial conditions for about nine months. The single-robot variant targets a smaller footprint while processing different cattle and cut specifications. Independent reporting confirmed deployments at both Cootamundra and Kilcoy processing facilities.
Source - 2025-11-07 - Production Milestone - IR-SCRIBE reaches full operation at Kilcoy
IR-SCRIBE reached full Kilcoy operation after completed design, commissioning and validation. Two Staubli robots perform four AI-guided cuts while matching industrial throughput targets. An independent audit verified accuracy, reliability, yield performance and reduced manual-saw risks.
Source - 2025-09-12 - Award - Intelligent Robotics wins AMPC collaboration award
AMPC recognized Intelligent Robotics for multi-party research and development collaboration on IR-SCRIBE. The award covered installations at Kilcoy and Australian Meat Group's Cootamundra facility. The system was credited with improving yield, safety and labour efficiency in beef processing.

IR-SCRIBE entered a twelve-month trial at Kilcoy Global Foods' Queensland processing plant. MotionCam-3D cameras scan moving carcasses before robots make four yield-defining cuts. The project targets safer work, consistent specifications and millimetre-accurate processing at line speed.
Source - 2023-04-20 - Partnership - Intelligent Robotics becomes Photoneo ANZ partner
Intelligent Robotics became Photoneo's regional partner for Australia and New Zealand. The agreement covers MotionCam-3D cameras and machine-vision solutions for manufacturers, integrators and OEMs. Both companies published matching announcements and named their regional business leaders.
