About
About Xpanner
Xpanner adds sensing, positioning, control hardware and automation software to existing construction machinery. The X1 family covers solar pile driving, remote panel handling and GNSS-guided pile distribution, while Xpanner Connect gives field and project teams a shared view of machine activity, plan status and completed work.
The company delivers the stack through an Automation-as-a-Service model with installation, training and field support. X1 Shake-Out launched in August 2026 for compact track and skid-steer loaders, guiding operators to pile locations and synchronising counts, types and as-built status to the office. Some Mango controller and M2 physical-AI functions are explicitly identified as future releases, so they are excluded from current capability claims.

- 2026-08-03 - Product Launch - Xpanner launches Shake-Out GNSS-guided pile-distribution retrofit
The brand-agnostic retrofit mounts a rugged tablet and guidance system on skid loaders without requiring a dedicated survey-marking team. Operators receive visual and audio guidance to target points, with configurable distance and angle tolerances for site requirements. Pile placements synchronise to Xpanner Connect as an as-built record with progress by block, row and pile type.

Black & Veatch has been using Xpanner X1 Kit on utility-scale solar projects in the U.S., as covered by Engineering News-Record. The system attaches to existing pile-driving equipment and combines software, the Mango hardware control unit and the M2 onboard processing unit. Black & Veatch said the system had been used on two projects, with the goal of reducing people working around heavy equipment on solar job sites.
