About Xiaomi

CyberDog 2 is a commercial quadruped with cameras, depth sensing and onboard computing for locomotion, tracking and developer applications. Xiaomi exposes programming and technical resources around the robot, allowing users to build behaviours beyond its standard interaction features.

CyberOne is a separate humanoid research programme. The 1.77-metre biped combines locomotion, environmental perception, audio interaction and whole-body control, drawing on Xiaomi’s motor, electronics and AI engineering. Together the programmes cover a shipped quadruped platform and longer-term humanoid development.

Research

  • Xiaomi open-sources Xiaomi-Robotics-1 code and model checkpoints

2026-08-03 - Research Publication - The release covers real-robot post-training, inference and deployment, plus evaluation code for RoboCasa, RoboCasa365, VLABench and RoboDojo. Xiaomi-Robotics-1 was pre-trained on more than 100,000 hours of embodiment-free UMI trajectories and post-trained on more than 10,000 hours of cross-embodiment data. The Apache-2.0 repository links the 5B base model and benchmark-specific checkpoints distributed through Xiaomi Robotics on Hugging Face.

  • Xiaomi publishes open-source Robotics-0 real-time VLA model

2026-02-13 - Research Publication - The Xiaomi-Robotics-0 technical report introduces an open-sourced vision-language-action model for real-time robotic execution. The paper says the model is trained on cross-embodiment robot trajectories and evaluated on simulation benchmarks plus real-robot bimanual manipulation tasks. This is a company-level Xiaomi robotics research release, not a CyberOne-specific product event.

  • Xiaomi Robotics introduces TacRefineNet for tactile-only grasp refinement

2025-09-30 - Research Publication - • Xiaomi Robotics researchers published a paper titled 'TacRefineNet: Tactile-Only Grasp Refinement Between Arbitrary In-Hand Object Poses' on September 30, 2025. • The study presents TacRefineNet, a framework that uses multi-finger tactile sensing to iteratively adjust a robot's end-effector pose, achieving millimeter-level grasp accuracy without visual input. • The method was validated through extensive real-world experiments, demonstrating its effectiveness in refining in-hand object poses solely based on tactile feedback.
