About
About LivsMed
LivsMed develops minimally invasive surgical technology spanning articulated handheld instruments and robotic surgery. ArtiSential gives surgeons wrist-like movement at the instrument tip, while ArtiSeal adds articulated vessel-sealing capability for laparoscopic procedures.
The STARK robotic system applies related articulation through a console-controlled platform with vision and procedure instruments. LivsMed has demonstrated STARK with Sovato's remote-surgery technology in an early-feasibility wet-lab study. The company develops instruments, robotic hardware and training, with clinical availability governed separately for each product and market.

- 2026-08-10 - Regulatory - LivsMed submits STARK surgical robot for Korean approval
STARK applies LivsMed's articulating-instrument technology to modular robotic arms intended to fit existing operating rooms without major layout changes. Its instruments articulate by up to 90 degrees in multiple directions, extending the company from handheld laparoscopic tools into robot-assisted surgery. The system debuted in Korea in May and appeared at the Society of Robotic Surgery meeting in July before the approval submission.
