About Unicontrol

Unicontrol provides the positioning, interface and control layer used to guide construction machinery against digital designs. Contractors can connect different correction services, file types and machine brands instead of standardising on one OEM.

Unicontrol3D launched in 2019, the company entered the US in 2022 and automatic grading followed in 2023. Spectra Precision acquired it in 2024 within Precisional. It remains machine-control infrastructure, not a manufacturer of autonomous excavators or loaders.

  • 2026-02-11 - Partnership - Unicontrol and Volvo CE expand 3D machine control to North America

    Unicontrol3D became available for Volvo excavators in the United States and Canada through the Volvo Co-Pilot interface without an additional display. The expanded integration supports Volvo Active Control, including automatic boom and bucket movements plus height and slew limiting. Unicontrol and Volvo CE planned live demonstrations at CONEXPO 2026; the release presents commercial regional availability rather than a future research programme.
