About M2-Automation
M2-Automation develops precision microdispensing instruments for life-science, diagnostics and biotechnology work. Its systems place biomolecules, reagents, cells and particles in volumes from picolitres to microlitres for protein and DNA microarrays, biosensors, lab-on-chip devices and diagnostic manufacturing. Contact and non-contact dispensers can be exchanged across the product family, allowing a method to progress from experiments to repeated production.
The compact iFOUR supports entry-level development, iTWO covers research and small batches, iONE provides larger working areas and high-throughput production, and modular iZERO equipment integrates into conveyor or reel-to-reel lines. InDOT software controls experiment design, positioning, droplet monitoring and tuning across the instruments. M2-Automation supplies the automated liquid-handling platform and application support; customers define the assay, biological materials, acceptance criteria and regulated production process.

- 2026-01-01 - Deployment - Cardiff University installs M2-Automation iTWO
The system dispenses picolitre-to-nanolitre volumes into microfluidic and droplet-based experimental setups. The installation supports work on artificial cells, bio-inspired diagnostics and other engineering-biology applications. M2-Automation’s iTWO platform combines configurable source and target layouts with in-line imaging and environmental-control options.
