About VXB Aerospace

VXB turns engineering requirements into design tradespaces that account for electromagnetic, plasma and astrodynamics simulations, material choices, factory tolerances and component availability. Engineers can use the platform to create new hardware or revise an existing design around performance, cost and sourcing constraints while retaining control of the final configuration.

The company began in Sydney and is now headquartered in Los Angeles with an engineering presence in Australia. Its software has been used by an aerospace manufacturer and a satellite-hardware startup, and the Prospero upgrade extends the workflow from individual components to complete systems, including drone configurations and allied-supply-chain requirements.

Events

  • 2026-08-13 - Product Launch - VXB Aerospace introduces Prospero system-level generative engineering

Engineers can optimise designs against performance, cost, capability and supply-chain requirements within one integrated workspace. The platform accepts natural-language requirements, generates or revises a part or system and identifies components needed to build the resulting design. VXB demonstrated the workflow with a drone redesign constrained to parts produced in the United States and allied countries.

  • 2026-07-14 - Funding - VXB Aerospace closes oversubscribed Seed round

Dauntless Ventures led the round, with Fulcrum Venture Group, existing pre-seed investor Investible and strategic angels participating. Before the Seed round, VXB had raised a $1.2 million pre-seed and received approximately $2 million in non-dilutive Australian government grants. VXB plans to scale its Los Angeles engineering team, expand enterprise onboarding and extend the platform to additional classes of complex aerospace components.

  • 2024-05-27 - Production Milestone - VXB Aerospace fires AI-designed Zephyr Hall thruster

The company described the firing as the first successful build of an electric small-satellite propulsion system in the Australia-New Zealand region. Zephyr uses argon propellant, which VXB positions as substantially less expensive than conventional alternatives while targeting satellites operating below 400 kilometres. The programme combined AI-led design with local manufacturing and testing at VXB's Sydney facility, reducing the reported development cycle by more than fivefold.

  • 2024-01-17 - Award - VXB Aerospace awarded A$600,000 grant for refuellable satellite propulsion

The grant gives VXB Aerospace the lead role in a A$600,000 Moon to Mars: Supply Chain Capability Improvement project backed by the Australian Space Agency. The programme covers Hall-effect propulsion thrusters, power-processing electronics, propellant management and a propellant storage tank for a sovereign Australian supply chain. VXB is developing refuelling capability with Orbit Fab, while Space Machines Company, Inovor Technologies and Electro Optic Systems are named among the programme partners.
