ZF Friedrichshafen is a diversified mobility-technology supplier whose autonomy stack spans sensing, compute, braking, steering and vehicle actuation. In commercial vehicles, ReAX combines electronic control with steering assistance, while redundant ReAX and electric power-steering architectures provide separate control paths for highly automated operation.
Kodiak selected ZF steering systems with redundant components for Kodiak Driver-equipped trucks and ordered 100 systems for fleet expansion. ZF created dedicated production capacity for the programme, and Kodiak's upfitting partner installs the ReAX solution during truck integration.

- 2026-01-26 - Deployment - Boston Dynamics Spot inspects ZF’s Bouzonville plant with Intuitive Robots
Plant manager Lionel Champlon credited the robot with detecting 39 compressed-air leaks in its first month. The configured robot reads gauges, checks filter status and performs thermal and acoustic inspections. Intuitive Robots handled site assessment, team training, AI adaptation and autonomous-mission implementation.

The system uses ZF ProAI hardware with Journey 6P and supports highway, urban, parking and space-to-space driving functions. The system secured a nomination from a Chinese vehicle brand, with series production planned for 2026.

Oceaneering received rights to produce and distribute the GRT shuttle. ZF agreed to provide software, engineering and integration services. The agreement covered the third-generation autonomous shuttle platform.
