About Flock Safety
Flock Safety combines field sensors and operational software for law-enforcement agencies, businesses, schools and communities. The broader platform links license-plate readers, video cameras, audio detection and investigative workflows, while Flock DFR extends that network into automated aerial response.
Flock DFR can dispatch docked drones to coordinates from 911 calls, license-plate alerts or gunshot detection, then share live video and mission data with responders. Flock Aerodome software provides flight control, airspace awareness, reporting and mobile operations. The company acquired Aerodome in October 2024; its purpose-built Flock Alpha aircraft remains in early access.

Flock described a top speed of 60 miles per hour and a dock that combines contact charging with dual battery swapping. The aircraft uses four cellular modems and cameras intended to support public-safety response and evidence collection. The launch placed Alpha in early access for U.S. law-enforcement customers; it did not establish unrestricted autonomous operation.

Andreessen Horowitz led the financing, with backing from Greenoaks and Bedrock and participation from existing investors including Meritech, Matrix, Founders Fund, Kleiner Perkins, Tiger Global and Y Combinator. Flock said the capital would support research and development, investigative intelligence, U.S.-based hardware manufacturing and expansion of its drone product line. At announcement, the company reported more than $300 million in annual recurring revenue and approximately 70% year-over-year growth.

Flock said Aerodome's drone and remote-piloting software would move under the Flock Safety umbrella. The announcement tied the deal to Flock's plan for American-made, NDAA-compliant drones for law-enforcement agencies. Aerodome founder Rahul Sidhu became VP of Aviation at Flock after the transaction.
