Trio Motion Technology develops motion coordinators, motion PLCs, servo drives, motors, I/O modules and programming software for automation and robotics. Its controllers coordinate multi-axis movement, while the Motion Perfect environment and communication interfaces connect machine logic to drives, motors and factory systems.
The product range supports SCARA robots, packaging, conveyors, battery equipment, 2.5D applications and other coordinated machines. Trio supplies the control layer, engineering tools and training needed to configure, commission and maintain motion systems, with products distributed through an international industrial automation network.

- 2026-06-02 - Product Launch - Trio adds P359 analogue input module
The 15 mm-wide module provides eight 4–20 mA analogue current inputs. Each input is digitized at 12-bit resolution with 100 microamp accuracy and a 100 kHz input frequency. P359 works with Flex-6X Nano, Flex-7 and EtherCAT Flexslice systems and adds 3.75 kV isolation.

Up to 16 I/O slices can connect directly to a Motion-PLC controller, with additional banks added through MS EC EtherCAT couplers. The architecture can scale to 1,024 digital ports and 128 analogue ports. MS-Bus and the Motion-iX engine synchronize machine I/O and motion with update rates down to 125 microseconds.

The controllers combine EtherCAT motion control with PLC logic and expandable I/O for stand-alone machines. The three initial models scale applications to as many as eight axes and were available to order at launch. MCS 40 and MCS 50 run motion and logic in parallel and support IEC 61131-3 languages, PLCopen and TrioBASIC.
