About GAM Enterprises
GAM supplies gearboxes and other mechanical drive components that adapt servo output to a robot joint, mobile base or machine axis. Its portfolio includes planetary reducers, robotic strain-wave and cycloidal designs, wheel-hub gearing, rack-and-pinion systems and couplings. Standard units can be modified or engineered for a specific mounting and motion requirement.
GAM began in 1990 as a coupling distributor, added gearbox activity in 1998 and later developed in-house US manufacturing. It reports that about 90 percent of shipped gearboxes are now produced domestically. Union Park Capital acquired the business in 2025 and formed GAM Motion as a precision-motion platform. GAM Enterprises remains an operating supplier based in Mount Prospect, Illinois.
