About Orbex Group
Orbex supplies brushless and brushed motors, frameless torque motors, compact wheel drives, servo motors and slip rings for embedded machinery. Engineers can modify windings, feedback, mechanical interfaces and environmental protection or develop application-specific assemblies where catalogue parts do not fit.
Robotics applications include autonomous-mobile-robot wheel drives, surgical mechanisms, gimbals, unmanned aircraft and compact joint actuation. The company supports product selection, prototyping and OEM production from its US engineering and commercial operation.

- 2025-05-07 - Product Launch - Orbex Group unveils HyperFlux motor for robotic actuation
The motor is specified at 12 Nm continuous torque and 35 Nm peak torque. Its housing measures 100 mm in diameter and 50 mm in length. Orbex states that the bearings withstand 1,500 N radial and 1,000 N axial loads, with encoder and mounting customization available.

Both models use a 160 mm wheel and provide a nominal output speed of 240 rpm. The CWD500 is rated for 25 Nm nominal output torque, while the CWD1000 is rated for 50 Nm. Optional 24 VDC brakes provide 4 Nm braking torque on the CWD500 and 10 Nm on the CWD1000.
