ACS Motion Control
About
About ACS Motion Control
SPiiPlus controllers coordinate many servo axes over EtherCAT while executing motion profiles, gantry correction and process events with deterministic timing. ACS also supplies servo drives and I/O modules, allowing machine builders to combine central control and distributed power electronics within one architecture.
The Motion Control Development Kit provides programming, tuning, diagnostics and simulation tools used to commission the finished machine. Applications include semiconductor stages, electronics assembly, laser processing and medical equipment where several axes, sensors and process triggers must remain synchronised at high speed.

UDMac operates from 85–265 Vac and is offered in 5/10 A or 10/20 A current configurations. The module replaces UDMpm and adds compatibility with current and future PX-series controllers. The drive supports CE, UL and STO requirements and shares the SPiiPlus controls environment used across ACS motion platforms.

A five-axis XYZTR laser machine combined an SPiiPlusEC controller, ACS servo drives and third-party EtherCAT devices through DMC software. Servo Boost was used to tune XT linear stages for greater accuracy and shorter system response time. Servo Dynamics applies the joint motion-control work across robotics, factory automation, advanced mechatronics and healthcare equipment.

The company traces its founding to 1985 and has expanded from controller hardware into an integrated motion-control platform. ACS became part of the PI Group in 2017, linking its control technology with PI precision-positioning hardware. Its current platform supports multi-axis machines, gantries and robotics requiring tightly synchronized motion.
