About Zaber Technologies
Zaber integrates motors, feedback and control electronics into configurable positioning devices. Linear and rotary stages can be combined into XY, XYZ or gantry systems, while its software API allows external applications to command and coordinate axes. The product range covers compact lead-screw stages through high-load and direct-drive linear systems.
Founded in 1997, the Vancouver company grew from a linear actuator with a built-in controller into a broader catalogue of precision-motion products. It supports standard and customized OEM configurations and distributes its systems worldwide through direct sales and regional partners. Its equipment is used in optics, life sciences, microscopy and industrial automation.

- 2026-05-25 - Deployment - Zaber supplies motion systems for Radical AI autonomous lab
The laboratory reached operation in nine months and runs automated experiments around the clock. Zaber stages and motors support oxidation, ultrasonic-wash and sample-polishing stations with different heat, payload and stability requirements. The system generated more than 300 novel materials in 16 weeks while using Zaber’s API, simulator and pre-tuned integrated stages.
Source - 2022-10-31 - Demonstration - Zaber demonstrates seventh-axis stage with Mecademic Meca500
The LRQ stage integrated its motor and controller in the stage assembly, reducing the footprint of the external axis. The demonstration used Python control and was brought into operation within a few hours. Mecademic used the configuration to show how a compact six-axis arm can reach a larger automation work envelope while retaining repeatability.
