About Microchip Technology
Microchip's dsPIC digital-signal controllers combine microcontroller functions with specialised arithmetic for field-oriented motor control. Reference software supports brushless, permanent-magnet, stepper and brushed motors, while gate drivers and power devices form the electrical interface between the controller and motor phases.
PolarFire and SmartFusion FPGAs handle deterministic sensor processing, networking and multi-axis coordination. Ethernet, CAN, EtherCAT and TSN products connect the embedded controllers across the machine, and Microchip supplies safety manuals, diagnostic libraries and development boards for functional-safety applications.
