About OSCP
OSCP builds inertial sensors around chip-scale photonic gyroscopes and MEMS accelerometers. The MK2M2 provides a compact MEMS configuration, while the MK2E2 and MK2Z add photonic sensing for lower drift and stronger resilience to vibration and electromagnetic interference.
The MK2 family is designed for integration into drones, ground robots, autonomous machinery, marine systems and defence platforms that must retain motion and attitude information when satellite positioning is degraded or unavailable. Units expose RS-422 or CAN-FD interfaces, and OSCP supplies software resources for ROS 2 and ArduPilot integration. The sensors are designed and manufactured in Canada without U.S.-controlled content.

Timeline
Events
- 2026-10-01 - Funding - OSCP announces New Science Ventures-led Series A closed in August
New Science Ventures led, with Emerging Ventures and 2050 Capital participating. Capital supports production, engineering and sales hiring and the next generation of photonic inertial sensors. New Science Ventures managing partner Somu Subramaniam joined the board.
Source - 2026-09-22 - Product Launch - OSCP releases open-source ROS 2 driver for MK2 IMUs
The driver supports RS-422 and CAN-FD connections and publishes standard sensor_msgs topics. It supports ROS 2 Humble and Jazzy on Ubuntu 22.04 and 24.04. The release includes the node, a COBS/frame library and OSCP message packages.
Source - 2026-09-10 - Award - OSCP qualifies for Canada’s Defence Drone Initiative Marketplace
The supply arrangement runs through July 31, 2031. OSCP qualified under Streams 1, 2 and 5. Qualification allows OSCP to bid when task solicitations are issued but does not itself guarantee work.
Source - 2026-09-01 - Capability - OSCP adds ArduPilot support across MK2 inertial sensors
The driver connects MK2 units over RS-422 or CAN-FD and is available with integration documentation, a C SDK and Python examples. Builders can move from the 75-gram MK2M2 MEMS unit to the photonic MK2E2 while retaining the same driver and interfaces. OSCP positions the integration for aircraft operating through GNSS interference, jamming and beyond-visual-line-of-sight missions.
Source - 2026-09-01 - Product Launch - OSCP launches NavigationGate onboard INS for GNSS-denied platforms
Pre-orders opened for the first limited production batch. The unit runs OSCP sensor fusion locally and supports dual-antenna RTK-compatible GNSS, CAN, CAN-FD and RS-422 interfaces. NavigationGate works across the MK2 family, with tactical-grade and navigation-grade options based on the connected IMU.
