About Aleph
Aleph’s Mark 0 research embodiment is designed for autonomous control rather than human teleoperation. Its approach combines multimodal pretraining, hierarchical task planning and separate timing loops for reasoning, sensing and movement. The team demonstrated a learned model performing vascular anastomosis, a delicate vessel-joining task involving extended sequences of manipulation.
Co-founders Ryan McGuire and Dylan McGuire are developing both the robot and its learning system. The programme is at laboratory-demonstration stage, with further development aimed at moving surgical policies into operating environments. Aleph is recruiting hardware, AI, software and surgical specialists in the Bay Area.
