About BASF

BASF supplies performance materials that replace metal, protect electronics and tune flexibility, grip and impact behaviour in robotic assemblies. Its robotics portfolio includes reinforced engineering plastics, Elastollan thermoplastic polyurethane, polyurethane systems and printable polymers used in structures, coverings, wheels, grippers and compliant mechanisms.

The company has worked with SIASUN on lightweight collaborative-robot structures and later established material-development programmes with Fourier Intelligence and Sevnce Robotics. Those programmes cover humanoid and quadruped components as well as inspection robots used inside chemical facilities. BASF remains a diversified chemical group; robotics forms a dedicated material-development and co-development activity within the wider business.
