About Florigen Robotics
Florigen Robotics is a Gunsan-based robot technology company established in 2022. It combines robot hardware with SLAM, navigation, sensing and remote-control software, configuring systems for research and field uses rather than relying on one fixed vehicle model. Its services cover wheeled platforms, quadrupeds, specialized inspection robots and simulation or validation work.
The FLOW system tracks robot location, route, state and remote-control information. A 2025– 2026 research programme added ID Quantique quantum random-number generation to session keys for AES- 256-GCM communication. Company-presented KOLAS-accredited tests in August 2026 recorded simultaneous control of three robots and measured encryption, decryption and round-trip latency. The initial protected data includes position, path and control commands; broader video protection, quantum-resistant key exchange and industrial-site rollout remain planned extensions.
Team
- Kim Do-geun - Chief Executive Officer - Leads commercialisation of autonomous patrol systems, using operating data from Trade Center security trials to improve robot monitoring and control.
- Jang Se-jun - Chairman - Guides Florigen's field-security direction, including protected patrol-robot communications and planned Saemangeum trials.

- 2026-10-06 - Capability - Florigen integrates IDQ quantum random-number security into FLOW robot control
IDQ quantum randomness generates session keys for AES-256-GCM encryption in FLOW communications. August2026 tests recorded100% command-response success for three robots,0.09ms encryption,0.02ms decryption and299ms average round-trip latency. Camera/map protection, quantum-resistant key exchange and wider industrial/public-site implementation remain planned.

The Trade Center testbed covered indoor and outdoor patrol mapping, control-interface improvements and night patrols. Robots used thermal cameras and gas sensors to transmit detected hazards to a central monitoring system. WTC Seoul and Florigen collaborated on security trials at the Trade Center and COEX.
