About Upbeat Technology
Upbeat Technology designs low-power processors, AI acceleration and MEMS sensing components for embedded devices. Its UP201 and UP301 systems-on-chip combine RISC-V processing with local inference, allowing equipment to analyse signals without continuously sending data to a remote server. The company also develops vibration and bone-conduction sensors for wearables, industrial monitoring and robotics.
For aircraft developers, its Bluemag Pi flight-control board packages the UP301 with motion and environmental sensors and interfaces for flight software, telemetry and peripherals. Customers can use the board or integrate the chip into their own hardware. Upbeat also applies vibration and tactile sensing to equipment-condition monitoring, grip slippage and ground contact in robots. Founded in 2017 and based in New Taipei City, Taiwan, it supplies semiconductor and sensing technology across several markets, with robotics forming one part of that business.

- 2026-10-07 - Product Launch - Upbeat Technology launches Bluemag Pi AI flight controller
Its UP301 chip uses SiFive E3 and E2 cores to separate flight-critical work from other onboard tasks. The board runs Apache NuttX and supports PX4, ArduPilot and Betaflight, with dual IMUs and GNSS receivers for sensor cross-checking. Customers can buy the board for software development or the UP301 chip for custom carrier designs; CEATEC demonstrations are scheduled for October 13–16.

The family combines two SiFive Essential processor cores with two AI accelerators developed by Upbeat. Engineering samples and an SDK were available for developers of wearables, drones, industrial monitoring and other edge devices. Awan-sensing described using the platform for local inference and signal processing within strict power budgets.
