About LiveU
LiveU develops hardware and software for transmitting, producing and distributing live video over IP networks. Its field encoders combine multiple network connections into a resilient transmission path, using LiveU Reliable Transport to carry video to receiving systems and cloud services. The portfolio also includes remote production, feed management, monitoring and distribution tools for broadcasters, sports organisations, enterprises and government users.
For drone and unmanned-system operators, LiveU provides the video and connectivity layer between field equipment, command centres and mobile viewers. Its collaboration with Airwise combines that transport with fleet management, airspace awareness and mission coordination for public-safety teams. Founded in 2006 and headquartered in Hackensack, New Jersey, LiveU operates internationally and is majority-owned by Carlyle. Its broader broadcast business and its public-safety offering share the same bonded-IP video technology.
