About Pimax
Pimax is a Chinese XR hardware company with operations in Shanghai and San Jose. It develops high-resolution virtual-reality headsets, optics, tracking algorithms and associated software, with products serving immersive simulation and other spatial-computing applications. Its work combines visual displays with head and hand tracking, gesture recognition, eye tracking and three-dimensional reconstruction.
The company is extending those capabilities into physical-AI data collection. In October 2026, AgiBot-incubated Maniformer, also known as Mifeng Technology, invested in Pimax and announced a collaboration around embodied-AI data. The proposed work draws on synchronized multi-sensor capture of human motion and spatial interaction, as well as interaction data from virtual environments. Pimax had already joined the partners' Hive data co-creation initiative. This robotics-related activity sits alongside its established XR hardware business; the financing announcement does not establish a commercial robot deployment or a named robot-component supply contract.
