IDC places DEEP Robotics first in its H1 2026 industry-application segment. Across vendors, that segment generated more than US$270 million and over two-thirds of quadruped revenue from under 40% of unit volume. Education, research and consumer robots supplied around 60% of units.
IDC’s industry-application segment includes government, manufacturing, utilities and other professional uses.
IDC estimates more than 49,000 quadrupeds shipped globally in H1 2026; Counterpoint estimates about 35,000.

Unitree’s integrated joints combine permanent-magnet motors with planetary reducers designed for leg-impact loads. The filing describes this technology as being in mass production.
Component context →DEEP Robotics’ X30 uses four Livox MID-360 sensors for surrounding perception. This configuration puts multiple externally supplied LiDAR units on one industrial quadruped.
Four sensors per documented X30 configuration; aggregate deliveries are undisclosed.
Go2 includes Unitree’s own L2 LiDAR as standard equipment. Unitree also sells L2 separately, linking the robot programme to a component product line.
Component context →Hesai reported LiDAR orders from Unitree, HONOR Robot, Galbot, Magiclab and Vita Dynamics in its combined humanoid-and-quadruped segment.
Orders across the combined segment; customer model allocations and order quantities are undisclosed.

Go2 EDU adds a depth camera and supports a separate high-compute module, including Orin options. The standard onboard eight-core CPU remains a distinct computing layer.
EDU configuration and optional compute; Air, Pro and X have different hardware packages.
Unitree lists foot-end force sensors on Go2 EDU; Air, Pro and X omit them. Dedicated contact sensors therefore enter the component bill through the selected trim.
Component context →Unitree lists the standard Go2 replacement battery at US$500. The pack incorporates Unitree’s own battery-management system.
BT2-05 retail pack price in USD; industrial volume pricing and cell supplier are undisclosed.
Permanent-magnet joints depend on magnet manufacture as well as motor winding and assembly. The IEA puts China’s share of magnet rare-earth refining at 91% and sintered permanent-magnet production at 94% in 2024. These upstream industries serve multiple end markets, including the motors used in legged robots.
