About
About 1ms.ai
1ms.ai’s principal robotics project is dora-rs, an open-source dataflow runtime for connecting sensors, models and robot applications. Developers define nodes and communication paths so camera input, inference, control and logging can be developed as replaceable components rather than one monolithic programme.
The team is building dora around university, laboratory and open-source robotics use, alongside work on vision-language-action benchmarks and education. Its current maturity is that of a small developer-led software ecosystem rather than a proprietary edge-compute appliance or a large commercial autonomy platform.
Team
- Haixuan Xavier Tao - Founder - Develops dora and its applications while building a community of university and laboratory users.
- Enzo Le Van - dora maintainer - Maintains dora and helps develop its robotics software ecosystem as part of the two-person core team.

Events
- 2026-09-02 - Product Launch - 1ms.ai-linked dora 1.0 establishes stable node APIs
Rust, Python, C and C++ node interfaces share the compatibility commitment; the command-line interface and dataflow YAML schema are also covered. Version 1.0 does not interoperate with 0.x, so existing applications require the documented migration. Optional operators, the ROS 2 and MAVLink bridges, and the tensor pool remain outside the stability guarantee.
Source - 2026-01-08 - Capability - 1ms.ai-linked dora project releases version 0.4.0
Nodes can run standalone with prompted inputs, and the release adds node integration testing plus basic node restarting. The C++ interface gains ROS action feedback and status support, while Python gains non-blocking event reads and queue-draining methods. New inspection commands show real-time node resource usage, filtered node metrics and topic information.
Source - 2024-12-11 - Capability - 1ms.ai-linked dora adds CUDA zero-copy transfers
A new CUDA helper enables zero-copy transfer of GPU data, while node scheduling distributes processing fairly between inputs. The update adds support for Intel RealSense and Orbbec Astra cameras, AgileX Piper arms and Robotic Diffusion Transformer models. Queue-size handling is corrected, alongside fixes to Python selection and output logging on macOS.
