About ABP Technologies

Guardian is ABP Technologies’ modular tracked EOD vehicle for reconnaissance and intervention in confined, urban and off-road environments. Its extending arm accepts disruptors, X-ray equipment, CBRN detectors and other payloads, while multiple cameras and radio or fibre-optic control keep personnel at distance from hazards.

The Poole business also designs disruptors, de-armers and bespoke engineering systems and provides long-term equipment support. It began in 1966 as A.B. Precision (Poole) Limited and adopted the ABP Technologies legal name in 2022, preserving the same operating-company continuity.

ABP exhibited its Guardian remotely controlled vehicle at London’s International Security Expo on 24–25 September 2024. The Guardian was shown in a counter-threat demonstration covering search and explosive-device disruption, alongside ABP’s new air-dropped-weapon disposal system. The accompanying system uses digital-twin modelling, photogrammetry, laser ranging, 4K pan-tilt-zoom cameras, and optional thermal imaging for remote investigation and disposal work.
